Lord you asked me to Be Still
Still?? What does being still mean?
My Daughter, be still and know that I am God

Still? (Chuckles)
But God I need answers
Answers to bring me out of this place I find myself
This place where I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place
I need to unwind myself from these chains with which I bound myself

Be Still you say but how Lord?
Like statue still? Like Mona-Lisa-smile still??
Like exhibit-in-a-museum-watching-everything-around-go-by still?
And then he says “like trust me still”
Know I am who I say I am and I will do what I say I will do
Wake up everyday and surrender to me
Cry out to me when the itch comes to take matters into your own hands still

Child I have a question for you
Do you trust me?
Do you believe I am who I say I am?
Before you answer, wait wait wait wait wait really ponder
Don’t give me no cookie cutter answer
That ‘this is what God expects me to say’ answer
None of that lip service
None of that ‘I’m telling God what I think he expects me to say’
Child I don’t need none of that
I see right through you
See I penetrate through your soul and spirit
Joint and Marrow seeing the attitudes of your heart
Nothing is hidden from me

As you sit and wonder what still means think about what have you heard about me
Better still have you searched for yourself?
Seek with all of your heart and you shall find.
Did you know that you are a pleasing aroma to me ?
A sweet smelling fragrance
Did you know you could taste of me?
David said “I have tasted and seen that the Lord is good, blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him”
I’m reaching out my hand to you my child, taste and see that I am good
That I may put my words on your lips

Just.Be.Still

Being still is a daily decision, it’s a daily choice to trust me to be God
Trust that I am good and waiting
Trust me that still means I am Almighty, not some mighty but All-mighty
Trust me who has the thoughts of kings and queens in his hand
Watch me amaze you and blow your mind as you follow me.
Trust me to create water in a desert land for you
Trust Me so you can be just this:…
