Thirst!
Oh the Thirst within!
Tell me this
How can I give what I do not have
How can I speak of something I have not yet known
Standing on these same axes, same coordinates
I pray to move to higher grounds
My heart longs for the deep
My thoughts yearn to be renewed
The hole in my heart demands it’s creator’s manual
Abba, Father
I know no other
Launch me into a new season
I want to drink from the abundance of your rivers
I want to give from the spring between you and me
But how can I give when I do not have?
*Answer lies in Psalm 1: 1 -3:
Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
