Memories, gentle reassurances

Memories are a treasure

The wealth we have inside

Special times and sad times

They’re all part of life

We see the road we’ve travelled

Has brought us on this far

Those tender moments we had

That can never be replaced

Memories of the past

Help us anticipate the future

Hope and wonder

for what is yet to be

As we face those stressful days

We seek a peace that doesn’t depend

On the daily pressures of life

A peace that chases away the blues

A peace that repairs

A peace that restores

Both our visions and dreams

So we place each day in the Father’s care

We receive from Him the inner peace He gives

For his peace transcends all understanding

And ushers in joy

Sweet peace

Just like memories

In a world so unstable and unsure

We look back to our memories

and then back to the future

And we smile that knowing smile

“Indeed, all will be well”
