Sequel to ‘Pathways’- Fikayo

Where does my journey lead?

As I stand at this crossroad
Shoulders heavy with my cross-load
The pains, the mistakes I bear

Wondering who will carry my cross,
It’s mine after all
With whom can I share these questions in my lap
Anchoring my weary feet to the divide between these cross roads

Left or Right?
If I go left will I be left with the tastes of regrets like bile
Or if I go right what awaits me?
More questions or answers to my questions

So I peddle to where my journey began;
Following the trails and I crumbs I left behind,
Seeking answers from potholes my feet formed from being stuck.

At my inception, my starting point,
I found my creator with holes in hands, begging for these burdens I bare
The ones that made my back sore.
Reassuring me that all my answers had roots that were deeply rooted in his love.
Seeking branches to grow and bear fruits of the seeds they held.

In the hands of my creator, he tells me I’m unique,
So is my path so I need not walk alone.
His loving hands will lead and carry me through one step at a time
Until he leads me home.

My wounds and bruises his gentle love will soothe,
Casting out all my fears as I yield to his easy yoke
